چکیده: 

SILICA-CHITOSAN HYBRID FILMS WERE MADE OF TETRAETHYLORTHOSILICATE (TEOS) AS A PRECURSOR AND CHITOSAN, USING SOL-GEL METHOD. THE FILMS WERE CHARACTERIZED BY WATER CONTACT ANGLE (WCA) MEASUREMENTS, BRUNAUER EMMETT TELLER (BET), SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE (SEM) FOR WETTABILITY, SURFACE, CROSS SECTION MORPHOLOGY AND SPECIFIC SURFACE AREA, RESPECTIVELY. ALSO, IT IS CONFIRMED THAT HYDROGEN BONDS EMERGE BETWEEN CHITOSAN AND SIO2 IN HYBRID MATERIALS BY FOURIER TRANSFORM INFRARED (FT-IR) ANALYSIS.

In present research, we synthesized cobalt-based silica nanocomposites (Co-SiO2) from cobalt nitrate [Co(NO3)2] and tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) precursors by using a simple sol-gel method followed by supercritical drying techniques. The physicochemical and textual properties of the as synthesized nano composites were thoroughly investigated. The results indicated that the Co-SiO2 aerogels demonstrated homogeneous dispersion cobalt nanoparticles within silica matrix with mesoporous morphology, large specific surface area (802 m2/g) and larger pore size (9 nm) with less volume shrinkage. The physicochemical properties of the cobalt based silica nanomaterial were characterized by XRD, SEM, N2 adsorptiondesorption and FTIR techniques. Cobalt-based silica nanocomposites can be produced using TEOS-based precursor and supercritical drying techniques. The prepared (Co-SiO2) nanocatalyst due to its magnetic nature with higher surface area (802 m2/g) can be utilized in many emerging fields such as catalysis, water desalination, water splitting, gas-sensing application and organic pollutant degradation.

The present work involved a thorough study on silane-modified silica filler with special focus on its chemical interaction with polydimethylsiloxanes (PDMS) and the structural model of the modified filler. The samples prepared by addition of modified silica were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), specific surface test, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and fluorescent microscope. FTIR results confirmed the successful silica surface modification with silane coupling agent. The sample containing 80 phr (parts per hundreds of rubber) modified filler with weak ratio of Si–OH/Si–C group absorbance areas (A 1/A 0) showed weak formation of filler agglomerates while a stronger interfacial interaction could take place between the modified silica and PDMS. Specific surface results showed that the dispersion of silica can be improved when the amount of silane modifier to silica reached 2.0 wt%. SEM and fluorescent microscope showed that the filler aggregation was observed in cases of higher silica loading. As expected, when the silica with surface treatment was compared with those without surface modification, the filler particles were found to be fairly well dispersed in PDMS matrix.

The SiO2-LiBr hybrid porous materials were prepared by the sol-gel method. This process was obtained by the hydrolysis and condensation tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) with replacement of ethanol from alco gel by the drying at ambient temperature to obtain xerogel structure. The alcogel samples were synthesized from TEOS, EtOH, H2O, HCl, NH4OH and LiBr. The total molar ratio of the compounds was 1: 9: 4: 8 x 10-4, 8 x 10-³. Xerogel contain 30 % wt of LiBr (dry matter) was prepared and characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Furier Transmittance Infra Red (FTIR), Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) and Thermal Gravimetry Analysis (TGA ) systems . The results obtained from SEM were shown the micrograph of LiBr on the silica matrix and chemical elemental analysis data was resulted by EDX. On the other hand, the TEM have confirmed average particle size of SiO2-LiBr about 50 nm and FTIR spectrum describes functional groups of nano composite. The thermal analysis of SiO2-LiBr nano composite was performed using TGA system and the results show that the suitable temperature for initial thermal treatment is about 200oC.

SUPER CAPACITORS CAN BE A SUITABLE RESPONSE TO ACCRUING DEMAND TO THE CLEAN ENERGY TECHNOLOGY BECAUSE OF THEIR HIGHER ENERGY DENSITIES COMPARED TO CONVENTIONAL CAPACITORS AND THEIR HIGHER POWER DENSITIES AND CYCLE LIFE COMPARED TO BATTERIES [1]. THEREFORE, THERE ARE SEVERAL TRENDS TO FIND APPROPRIATE MATERIALS FOR MAKING SUPERCAPACITORS’ ELECTRODES, WHICH SHOULD ILLUSTRATE A REVERSIBLE BEHAVIOR AND NONZERO CURRENT. NANO COMPOSITES, A COMBINATION OF NANO-DIMENSIONAL PHASES WITH DISTINCT DIFFERENCES IN STRUCTURE, CHEMISTRY AND PROPERTIES, CAN BE THE GOOD CANDIDATE FOR THIS PURPOSE. IN THIS STUDY, WE HAVE PREPARED A NANOCOMPOSITE CONTAINING OF NANOSTRUCTURED NICKELOXIDE AND COBALT OXIDE IN SILICA MEDIA BY SOL-GEL METHOD [2]. NICKEL NITRATE, COBALT NITRATE AND TETRAETHYLORTHOSILICATE IN MOLAR RATIO OF NICKEL TO COBALT SALTS OF 0, 0.35, 0.5, 0.65 AND 1 WERE DISSOLVED IN A SOLUTIONS OF ACETYL ACETONE, ETHANOL AND ETHYLENE GLYCOL. ONE DROP OF CONCENTRATED NITRIC ACID WAS TO THE REACTION MIXTURE AS THE CATALYST OF PREPARATION OF NICKEL OXIDE AND COBALT OXIDE PRECURSOR. THEN, SOL WAS PREPARED BY PUTTING THE MIXTURE IN A 70OC OVEN FOR 10 HOURS. THEN THE REACTION MIXTURE TRANSFERRED TO AN ELECTRICAL FURNACE WHICH ITS TEMPERATURE WAS ROSE TO 550OC FOR 5 HOURS. THE PREPARED NANOCOMPOSITES HAVE DIFFERENT COLORS FROM PURPLE TO BLACK DEPENDS TO THE RATIO OF NICKEL OXIDE TO COBALT OXIDE RATIO. THE CRYSTAL STRUCTURE AND MORPHOLOGY OF THE PREPARED MATERIALS WERE CERTIFIED BY XRD, SEM AND TEM. THEN, THE CAPACITIVE BEHAVIOUR OF THE PREPARED NANOCOMPOSITES WAS STUDIED BY CYCLIC VOLTAMMETRY STUDIES USING A STANDARD THREE-ELECTRODE CONSISTING OF AN AG/AGCL REFERENCE ELECTRODE, A PLATINUM GRID AUXILIARY ELECTRODE AND A CARBON PASTE WORKING ELECTRODE CONTAINING OF GRAPHITE + THE NANOCOMPOSITES POWDER IN A SOLUTION OF 1 M KOH AND THE EFFECT OF CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF MIXED OXIDE WAS INVESTIGATED.

PERVAPORATION (PV) IS ONE OF THE RECENT PROCESSES USED FOR DEHYDRATION OF ALCOHOLS. IN THIS STUDY, POLYVINYL ALCOHOL (PVA) WAS USED TO SEPARATE WATER FROM ISOPROPANOL. IN ORDER TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE OF PVA MEMBRANE, FUMED NANO SILICA WAS ADDED TO THE POLYMERIC NETWORK. USING THE SILICA IN THE POLYMERIC NETWORK ENHANCED THE MEMBRANE FLUX FROM 0.4900 TO 1.3350 KG M-2H-1, WHILE SLIGHTLY DECLINED THE MEMBRANE SELECTIVITY FROM 170.000 TO 158.652. THE FUMED SILICA MADE THE POLYMERIC NETWORK POROUS AND THIS FACILITATED PERMEATION OF THE BOTH MOLECULES.

The silica xerogel is prepared using copper source; 0.02 mol of (Cu NO3)2 3H2O that has been added to 1 mol TEOS (tetraethyl orthosilicate). The copper ions are doped to silica matrix by the sol gel method and determination of total molar ratio of components with a reported molar ratio of H2O /TEOS(R)=6.2. In this method, the acidity the of reaction (pH) depends on the catalyst type in the hydrolysis step and the molar ratio of H2O /TEOS (R) that is studied with gelation time (tg). In this reaction, acidity varies between 2.4 and 3.5. Average size and molecular structure of this nanocomposite were analyzed using TEM, FTIR and XRD. Copper oxide can be produced from the decomposition of copper nitrate and is doped on the silica matrix by thermal treatment.

چکیده: 

EMD فعال کننده ساخت سمنتوم، لیگامان پریودنتال و استخوان در مرحله تکامل فولیکول دندانی است. بررسیهای هیستولوژیک نشان داده اند که کاربرد EMD موجب افزایش تشکیل سمان بدون سلول می گردد. سمان بدون سلول با الیاف خارجی، به خوبی با عاج زیرین اتصال پیدا می کند. به نظر می رسد که EMD برای سلول ها به عنوان ماتریکس عمل می کند و موجب فراهم شدن محیطی مناسب برای تکثیر و تمایز سلول ها جهت بازسازی بافت می گردد. هدف از این مطالعه بررسی هیستولوژیک اثربخشی Enamel Matrix Derivative (EMD) یا پروتیین ماتریکس مینا در روند Regeneration ضایعات پریودنتال می باشد. در این تحقیق EMD در Surgical Defect دندانهای پرمولر چهار گوسفند بالغ مورد استفاده قرار گرفت؛ بدین منظور فلپ موکوپریوستیال در سمت باکال دندانها انجام شد. صفحه استخوانی باکال از مزیال تا دیستال و تا عمق 4 میلی متر برداشته شد. پس از تراشیدن سمان ریشه با فرز و سپس اچینگ آن، از ماده EMD بر روی عاج اکسپوز استفاده گردید و فلپ بخیه شد. در سمت قرینه دندانهای مذکور که به عنوان کنترل در نظر گرفته شد، همین عملیات ولی بدون اچینگ و استفاده از EMD انجام شد. پس از حدود 100 روز گوسفندها کشته شدند و آزمایشات هیستولوژیک به وسیله میکروسکوپ نوری روی Block Section محدوده ای که تحت عمل جراحی قرار گرفت، انجام شد. نتایج نشان داد که در سمت تست بازسازی سمنتوم حدود 5/62% و بازسازی استخوان حدود 50-5/42% انجام شده بود؛ در حالی که در سمت کنترل بازسازی سمنتوم حدود 5/37% و بازسازی استخوان حدود 5/42%-5/32% بود؛ همچنین میزان مهاجرت آپیکالی جانکشنال اپی تلیوم در سمت کنترل حدود 10-8% بیشتر از سمت تست بود. نکته مهم این که در سمت تست سمان جدید کاملا به عاج زیرش چسبیده بود ولی در سمت کنترل یک شکاف (Gap) بین سمان تازه و عاج زیرین دیده می شد. این نتایج بیانگر بهبودی وضعیت Regeneration در سمت تست به دنبال کاربرد EMD می باشد و به نظر می رسد استفاده از این ماده شروع موفقی در درمانهای رژنراتیو ضایعات پریودنتالی باشد.
